Kotohira is in Kagawa Prefecture on Shikoku Island.

From Osaka or Kyoto, take the JR Marine Liner to Takamatsu and transfer to the Kotoden or Dosan Line (about 3 hours total).

From Tokyo, fly to Takamatsu Airport, then take a short train or bus ride to Kotohira.
